Richard Allen Swartz

Richard Allen Swartz, 70, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 28, 1949, he was a son of the late Chester L. and Stella E. (Snook) Swartz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fern L. Swartz.

He is survived by: two daughters, Kathy Swartz, of Lewistown and Cindy Swartz, of State College; siblings, Beverly Knisely and husband, Richard, Kathy Swartz, James A. Swartz, all of Thompsontown.

He was Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1967.

Richard served in the United States Army.

He worked at Middleburg Yarn Factory and Wood-Mode.

Rich loved being outdoors, going fishing and camping.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2019, at Samuel’s Cemetery, 480 Samuel’s Church Road, McClure, with Military Honors.
