Robert F. Kenawell

Robert F. Kenawell, 88, formerly of Yeagertown, passed away at 10:32 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017 at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Born December 6, 1929 in Yeagertown, he was a son of the late Lena (Teenie) and Harry Kenawell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Belinda M. (Stravalo) Kenawell, on Aug. 4, 2017; a brother, William Kenawell; and two half-sisters.

Robert is survived by: his children, Mark Kenawell and wife, Sandra, of New Tripoli, Christine Fultz and husband, Harold Jr., of Longfellow, and Rosemary Bilger and husband, Bryan, of McVeytown; six grandchildren, Mark Kenawell  Jr., Elizabeth Grim, Shea Fultz, Adam Fultz, Levi Bilger, Chelsea Chesney; and six great-grandchildren.

He retired from the repair shop at Standard Steel.  After retirement, he worked at JC Penny’s and the Yeagertown Fire Company. 

Robert had a passion for gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing and watching sports. He especially enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 1 - 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham with Rev. Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.

Memorials in Robert’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
