Robert L. “Bobby” “Kitty” Royer Jr., 49, of Burnham, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019, at home from a brief courageous battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 23, 1969, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Robert L. Royer Sr. and Sandra L. (Musser) Royer, who survives.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by; his wife, Michelle L. Royer, whom he married in October of 2013; two daughters, Ally and Kenadi Royer; siblings, Brian Royer and wife, Kathy, of Dauphin, Stephanie Ottinger and husband, Dr. William Ottinger, of Slatington, Robin Earnest and husband, Shawn, of Granville; a cousin, Shawn Albright, who was like a brother; nephews, Brady Glick and Mason Earnest; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; mother-in-law, Carol Bump, of Kentucky and father-in-law, Michael Bump, of Michigan.
Bobby was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1988.
He worked at the Mifflin County Solid Waste Authority for 30 years.
Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed archery hunting and being outdoors. He was a car enthusiast. He liked going to car shows and was fond of his sports cars, a Trans Am and Camaro. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially his children.
A receiving of friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a memorial service to follow at 8 p.m., with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.
