Robert Cloyd Walters, Sr.

Robert ‘Bob’ Cloyd Walters Sr., 74, of Decatur Twp., McClure, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018, at his home.  

Born July 14, 1944, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Leona D. and Laura M. (Brought) Walters.   

Bob is survived by: his wife, Wanda J. (Hunter) Walters, whom he married on June 20, 1964; children, Sherry Brodbeck and husband, Brian, of Saltillo, Robert C. Walters Jr. and wife, Heather, of Ansbach, Germany, and Curtis L. Walters and wife, Dara, of Fort Bragg, N. C.; ten grandchildren, Anthony J. Lingle Jr. and wife, Whitney, of Hesston, Zachary R. Lingle and fiancée, Tracie Force, of Lewistown, Brianna R. and Jenelle H. Brodbeck, both of Saltillo, Kassondera S. Walters, of Middleburg, Brittany M. Walters, of Enterprise, Ala., Morgan R. and Madison R. Walters, both of Ansbach, Germany, and Korinne L. and Blake A. Walters, both of Mifflintown; a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Grace Lingle, of Lewistown; step great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Mason and Adrina Force, of Lewistown; and siblings, Thomas H. Walters and wife, Connie, and Sarah J. Bender, both of Lewistown.

Bob was a member of Wagner United Methodist Church.

He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1963.

Bob owned and operated Bob’s Arco and was employed for a time at Long’s Garage in Reedsville and Noerr’s Garage in Lewistown.  He retired from Standard Steel as a maintenance supervisor, with 35 years of service.    

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Wagner United Methodist Church, 6280 US Hwy 522 North, McClure.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., at the church, with Reverend Steve Swigart officiating.

Interment will take place at Wagner Cemetery, McClure.
