Ronald "Whitey" Lee Rhodes

Ronald Lee "Whitey" Rhodes, 76, of Lewistown, passed away at 9:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at his home.

Born Oct. 2, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Grace (Lingle) Rhodes.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Candace "Candy" Messinger, and a brother, Donald Rhodes.

Ronald is survived by: his son, Dwayne Rhodes and wife, Carrie, of Lewistown; and siblings, Larry Rhodes and wife, Stella, of Lewistown, and Brenda Royer and Peggy Cox, both of Burnham.

Early in life, he was employed by Rhodes Disposal.  Ronald held various other jobs throughout his life before retiring.

He was a member of the Lewistown Eagles and Owls Clubs, VFW, and Brooklyn and Yeagertown Fire Companies.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
