Samuel D. Wilt Jr., 65, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Wilmington Hospital.
Born May 27, 1954, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Samuel D. Wilt Sr. and Doris L. (Clouser) Wilt, who survives.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Stephen and Walter Wilt.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by: wife, Marcia Ann (Pyle) Wilt, who he married July 30, 1976; daughters, Danielle Mendes, of Newark, DE, and Vanessa Cesner and husband, David, of Clayton, DE.; one grandson, Samuel Lucas Mendes; siblings, Tessie Brown, of Bear, DE., Philip N. Wilt and wife, Marie, of Clayton, DE., and Doris Moulton and husband, Darryl, of Newark, DE.
He was a graduate from Thomas McKean High School, Class of 1974. He was a graduate of Delaware Technical Community College and Immaculata College.
Work history; Retired from E.I. duPont deNemours Company after 35 years.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, January 3, 2020, at the funeral home, with Rick Wilt, officiating.
Interment will take place at Wilt Cemetery.
