Shirley C. (Chamberlin) Kibby

Shirley C. Kibby, 91, formerly of Lewistown, and State College, Pa., was called home to be with her Lord, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Henrico Doctor's Hospital, in Richmond, Va.

She was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Lewistown, and was the daughter of the late Victor A. and Margaret L. (Kitting) Chamberlin.  In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Willard F. Kibby.  They were married Feb. 18, 1962 in the chapel of the Center City Philadelphia Y.M.C.A., where they first met.

She was a high school graduate and attended the former Allentown Bible Institute for two years.

Shirley is survived by: two children from a former marriage, George L. Boggs III and his wife, Dorothy, of Mechanicsville, Va., and Carol L. (Boggs) Terry, of Fredericksburg, Va.; two stepsons, John Kibby and wife, Esther, of Dallas, Texas, and David Kibby and wife, Dalia, of Cooper City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kyle A. Terry, George L. Boggs IV, and Mary Katelyn Kibby; and her brother, Victor C. Chamberlin, who completed her family circle, and his wife, Claudine (Bustin) Chamberlin, who are God's laborers in the mission field in Cameroon, West Africa.

Private interment at Birch Hill Cemetery in Burnham, Pa., will take place at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
