Virginia F. (Johnson) Edwards

Virginia F. Edwards, 72, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:22 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born Feb. 28, 1947, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George B. and Ethel M. (Joseph) Johnson, and stepdaughter of the late Margaret Johnson.  In addition to her parents and stepmother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Johnson.

Virginia is survived by: her husband of 54 years, George F. Edwards Jr., whom she married Dec. 30, 1965; a sister, Betty Jean Pacholski and husband, Robert, of Lewistown; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was a homemaker and previously attended Grace Covenant Church in Lewistown.  Virginia enjoyed crocheting blankets and giving them to family, neighbors and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Maitland Cemetery, 315 Crossover Dr., Lewistown, with Pastor Barbara Mannino officiating.

Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
