Wanda R. “Bobbie” Shores, 75, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.
Born May 19, 1944, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. Powell and Juanita I. “Wanda” Powell, who survives.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by: former husband, Foster C. Shores, who she married on March 25, 1967.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: children, Tosha R. Shores and husband, Keith E. Goss; grandson, Joshua E. Goss; siblings, Astra L. Marker, Robert L. Powell Jr. and Tuolummie A. Bilger; one niece; one nephew; two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
Bobbie was a Chief Logan High School graduate, Class of 1962. She was a graduate of Empire Beauty School.
She owned and ran her own beauty shop, Wanda Powell’s Beauty Shop, for 14 years. She worked at Ohesson Manor and retired after 26 years of service.
Bobbie was a kind and caring person and always thought of others before herself. She lovingly helped to take care of her mother. She enjoyed reading and tending to her flower garden.
A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
