William R. "Bill" Lepley, 87, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Ohesson Manor. Born July 19, 1931, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Albert L. and Verna (Smith) Lepley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. (McClure) Lepley.
He is survived by: children, Joan L. Lepley, of Lewistown, Patricia L. Woodling, of Beaver Spring, Richard L. "Rick" Lepley and wife, Dylyn, of Lewistown, Karen L. Glick and husband, Douglas, of Lewistown, Thomas L. Lepley and wife, Dee, of McClure; grandchildren, Terri Walsh and husband, Jeremy, Marcus Woodling and fiancee, Courtney Peoples, Dyanna Hauck and husband, Matt, Kelley Lepley, Dawn Glick and companion Danny Fox, Katelyn Laub and husband, Jason, Kelly Morenko and husband, Greg, Jack McLaughlin and wife, Martha; great-grandchildren, Emma Stahl, Kolton Laub, Jack, John and James McLaughlin, Nina and Gavin Morenko; brother, Charles A. Lepley, of Lewistown; life-long friend, Nancy Snyder, of McClure.
He graduated from Lewistown High School and attended two years at Williamsport Trade School. He also attended Paintersville CMA. William entered the U.S. Navy and served from 1951 to 1955. Earlier in life, he worked at Mexico Forge as a shipping clerk and later retired from Metlmex Corporation. He had his pilot license to fly his airplane. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., with Rev. Thomas Wright officiating. Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
