William ‘Bill’ T. Wagner, 61, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:05 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born June 16, 1956, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late William L. and Mercy (Schrock) Wagner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret L. Wagner-Clews, of Pottsville.
He is survived by: his wife, Kimbrah L. (Wagner) Wagner; daughters, Tiffany (Wagner) Shockey and husband, Benjamin, of Spring Mills, and Lindsay (Wagner) Powell, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Gavin Norton, Adrienne Shockey, and Miles Shockey; a sister, Georgia Olson, of Lewistown; and friend, Edie Swank, of Lewistown.
Bill graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1974, and then went on to earn an Associate’s degree in civil engineering from Harrisburg Area Community College in 1976.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Lewistown.
Bill was employed by Marlette Homes in Lewistown as a marketing and development manager, fulfilling many different roles for the company over the past 31 years. In October of 2017, he was honored with the New York Housing Association Hall of Fame Award.
Bill enjoyed golfing, camping, and spending time with his family. He was an enthusiastic Penn State fan, attending a variety of Penn State events and was a regular tailgater at football games, including several bowl games. Fast-pitch softball was Bill’s passion in his younger years, and he also enjoyed many years of playing volleyball with his friends, “The Legends.”
Viewings will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the funeral home, with Mr. John Campbell officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Mark’s Community Cemetery, Lewistown.
