Alan Reid Forshey, 75, of Milroy, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home.
Born October 18, 1950, in Mt. Union, he was the son of the late Albert Reid and Edna Mae (Coons) Forshey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deb Schucker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean (Wilson) Forshey; son, Jason A. Forshey and wife, Denae, of Bellefonte; grandchildren, Kalib Forshey and companion, Kerstin Sharar, Zoe Ayres and husband, Sean; great-grandchildren, Payzlyn, Aidan, Kendyl, Myah, and Ireland; siblings, Sharon Hampton, of Lewistown, Steve Forshey and wife, Susan, of Marysville, Albert Forshey and wife, Susan, of Lewistown; brother-in-law, Edward Schucker, of Yeagertown.
Alan honorably served in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division, and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service.
He worked as a truck driver.
Alan enjoyed shooting pool, throwing darts, working with tools, woodworking, and playing golf. Above all, he treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A receiving of friends will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with military honors provided by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
