Alan D. "Bundy" Shultz Obituary

Alan D. “Bundy” Shultz, 70, of Lewistown, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.


Born May 31, 1953, in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Harry F. and Grace E. (Whitman) Shultz.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Shultz, and his sister, Sharon Coakley.


Alan is survived by:  wife, Sally Jo (Fye) Shultz; stepchildren, Michael DeArment and companion, Brenda Nace, of Arch Rock, and Danielle Berry and husband, Dan, of Ickesburg; grandchildren, Dillon J. Treaster and wife, Tish, and Gage P. Treaster and fiancé, Hailey Swartz; great-grandson, Reed Treaster; step-grandson, David Berry; brother, Dennis Shultz and wife, Jennifer, of Wisconsin; and nephews, Gary and David Coakley.


Alan was a Bald Eagle Area graduate, Class of 1971.


He was employed as a contractor for Chet Workman Construction in Zion, Pa. for many years.  After retiring, he worked part-time at Lowe’s in Lewistown.


Alan enjoyed fishing on the Juniata River and Howard Lake.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.


A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 58 Lingles Lane, Lewistown.  


Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
