Obituary
Albert L. Brower, 89, of Lewistown passed away at his home on Friday, April 14, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 12, 1934, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Daisy (Decker) Brower.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by; his loving daughter, Tonda L. Stewart; four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by; his loving wife of 71 years, Julia C. (Newlands) Brower; children, Pamela J. Brower, of Lewistown, Wanda L. (Brower) Armstrong, and husband, Robin, of McClure, and Rodney L. Brower and wife, Toni, of Lewistown; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life he was employed at various jobs after his first years of working on the family farm and then moved on to Derry Twp., Friedens, Standard Steel, SEDA Cog, and finally to Lewistown Hospital before retiring to enjoy his golden years.
He enjoyed hunting, tractors, woodworking, playing cards and going on long car rides. In the last years of his life, he enjoyed and looked forward to the visits from the great-grandchildren and always made sure he had the toys and goodies for them to enjoy.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be held at Samuel's Cemetery.
