Allen R. Miller

Allen R. ‘Butch’ Miller, 59, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020, at his home.

Born June 5, 1961, in Lancaster, he was the son of Kenneth E. and Matha J. (Diven) Miller.

He was preceded in death by: an infant child; and a sister, Cathy Miller.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: wife, Betty J. Miller, whom he married June 26, 1988; two sons, Shawn L. Miller and wife, Emma Medley, of Lewistown, and Kenneth R. Miller, of New York; grandchildren, Hope Miller-Himelright and companion, Andrew Rice, Kevin Miller, and Lexi Carter; great-grandchildren, Azilee Koch, and Spencer Carter; and his pet dog, Bubba.

He attended Lewistown High School.

Allen was a United States Army Veteran.

He was a member of the Lewistown Loyal Order of Moose in Lewistown.

Earlier, Allen worked for Boring’s Transport in Belleville and most recently at TC Daubert in Yeagertown.

He loved spending time with his wife and family, and his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. Allen enjoyed truck driving, and he told many trucking stories to his family.

A viewing will be held from 10 am to Noon, Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at Noon, with Pastor Randy Traxler officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park with special services provided by VFW Post 7011.
