Amy B. Ammerman, 57, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on March 31, 1966, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of David and Carol (Meyers) Hockenberry, who survive.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael J. Ammerman, whom she married in 1985; children, Elizabeth Ammerman, Ethan M. Ammerman, Ashley Ammerman, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Levi Marks, Malachi Marks, Madison Goss, Alivia Goss, Nyrvana Auman; sister, Erinn Doyle and husband, Craig, of Lewistown.
Amy was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1984.
She was very strong in her faith with Christ. Amy loved to take care of her family. She enjoyed bird watching and going for walks in the mountains. She loved wildflowers and Rose of Sharon. She never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune. She was an animal lover, especially fond of her dogs, and one of her favorite hobbies was painting.
A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the funeral home, with Pastor Doug Sabin officiating.
Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery.
