Anna Mae Gillam, 94, of Lewistown, passed away at 3:30 a.m., Monday, January 29, 2024, at her home.
Born Dec. 24, 1929, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Ruth E. (Skipper) Baumgardner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: first husband, Reuben Kreider; second husband, Harry Gillam; brother, Harry Baumgardner; four sisters, Mary Ruth Stoner, Betty Royer, Alberta Frampton, and Dollie Baumgardner, in infancy; and stepchildren, Betty Henry, Helen Gibble, and Harry Gillam.
Anna is survived by: children, Lorraine Wall, of McAlisterville, and John Kreider and wife, Traci, of McClure; five step-daughters, Donna Habecker and husband, Jack, of Lancaster, Lucinda Stetchock and husband, Bill, of Alexandria, Sheila Gill, of Mill Creek, Deb John and husband, Gary, of Huntingdon, and Loretta Gillam; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her brother, William Baumgardner and wife, Rose, of Lewistown.
She was a member of Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, Lewistown.
Anna was employed for 22 years at the American Viscose Corp., and later at Owens Corning Fiberglass Corp. in Huntingdon.
She loved socializing, spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren, and spur of the moment car trips. Anna enjoyed baking, crocheting, tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, doing word searches, and reading poetry. She also volunteered her time at the McVeytown Fire Company and Lewistown Senior Center.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown.
The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, with Pastors Steve and Kari Swigart officiating.
Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Avenue, Lewistown.
