Audrey Marie Wertz

Audrey M. Wertz, 89, of Lewistown, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020, at Locust Grove Retirement Village.

Born October 29, 1930, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Otha M. and Mae M. (Zickefoose) Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, C. Herbert Wertz; twin children, Barry Lynn and Nancy Lee Wertz; and sisters, Alice Baker and Faye Thomas.

She is survived by: children, Steven A. Wertz and wife, Christine, of Yeagertown, Linda Condron, of Lewistown, Nanette Y. Farrell and husband, Jeffrey, of Lewistown, Timothy L. Wertz, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Brian Condron, Crista Miller and husband Richard, Amanda Parrish and husband, Tyler, Shawn Farrell, Ashely Farrell and fiancé, Eric Pearson, and Drew S. Wertz and wife, Heather; four  great-grandchildren, Devin Miller, Reese Crick, Kadence Miller, and Savannah Wertz; siblings, Otha “Sonny” Kennedy Jr. and wife, Velma, of Texas, Bonnie Bair and husband, Charles, of Lewistown, Danny Kennedy and wife, MaryJo, of Reedsville.

Audrey was a 1949 graduate of Yeagertown High School.

She was a member of New Life Church in Burnham, a member of the quilting club at St. John’s Church.

In her earlier years, she worked at Goss Candy Store and Leora’s Cafeteria.

Audrey loved being with her family. She enjoyed baking and quilting and helping with meals on wheels.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Lewistown.
