Aurora 'Rory' Faye Kuhns-Shearer

Aurora "Rory" Faye Kuhns-Shearer, 4, of Burnham, went to heaven on Thursday, May 9, 2019, after a 4-year battle with congenital heart disease.

Born Dec. 24, 2014, in Danville, she was the precious daughter of Maggi Shearer, of Burnham.

Aurora was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, J. Paul Shearer, and maternal grandmother, Karina Shearer, in 2003.

In addition to her mother, Aurora is survived by: maternal great-grandparents, Norma Ewing and husband, Jim, of Lewistown; maternal grandfather, Paul Shearer, of Lewistown; paternal grandmother, Tamra Nagle, of Lewistown; sister, Esme Azalea Kuhns-Shearer, and brother, Jude Orion Shearer, both of Burnham; a great-aunt, Ruth Eddy and husband, Mark, of Lewistown; aunts and uncle, Ashley Bratton, of Lock Haven, Eleni Shearer and Kortney Shearer, both of Lewistown, Kassandra Johnston, of McVeytown, and Matt Clark, of Lewistown; cousins, Breanna Bratton, Micah Bratton and Piper Dufffield, all of Lock Haven, and Reiley Houtz, Leylah Clinger, and Emilyn Clinger, all of Lewistown; and second cousin, Matthew Eddy, of Lewistown.

Aurora loved to spend time with her family.  She loved all things "Frozen" and "Moana."  She loved to swing on her swing set with her siblings, being outside and she loved flowers and vanilla milkshakes.

She will always be remembered for her strength, bravery and beautiful smile that could light up the darkest places, a smile that she always wore despite her many trials in life.

Private services for family and close friends will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with Pastor Howard Houtz officiating.

Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
