Barbara Hope Rounds

Barbara Hope Rounds, 74, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on November 23, 1947, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Anna Margaret (Casner) Harpster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bob” Harpster.

She is survived by; her husband, Kevin Rounds, whom she married September 23, 2000; children, LeeAnn Knudsen Sharon, of Lewistown, Scott Knudsen, of Bloomsburg, Ray Hannon and wife, April, of Strodes Mills, and Annette Hannon, of Granville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one special great-granddaughter, Vonnie; siblings, Shirley Logan, of Burnham, Eugene “Joe” T. Harpster and wife, Robin, of Lewistown, Linda Bumgardner and husband, Jerry, of Lewistown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was a 1966 graduate of Lewistown High School.

Barb worked at Scottie’s Fashion and Mifflin Juniata County Area on Aging.

She enjoyed meeting people and would go to auctions and sell items at flea markets. She loved her family and her pet parrots.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.

Following the service, there will be a meal and time of fellowship at Hungry Run Distillery.
