Basil Charles Todaro, Jr.

Basil Charles Todaro Jr., 51, of Lewistown, passed away at 6:37 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born May 5, 1968, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Basil Charles Sr. and Nettie M. (Miller) Todaro.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: brothers, Stephen, Rodger and David Miller; sister, Anna Marie Briddelle; niece, Melisa Todaro; great-niece, Emmalyn Hook; and a great-nephew, Tanner Howell.

Basil is survived by: his stepdaughter, Madison Baumgardner, of Lewistown; siblings, Bryon Todaro and wife, Jackie, and Mary Jo Anastasi and husband, Luke, both of Lewistown; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and lifelong friends, Spencer and Anthony Johnson, who he considered his brothers.

He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1987, and was employed as a caregiver by Guardian Home Care Services.

He attended The Journey Church in Milroy.

Basil loved his family and especially treasured times spent with all his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He adored his family's fur-babies, especially Maggie and Izzy.  He also loved drawing and spending time with the Moonlite gang.

Basil recently found the Lord and enjoyed learning as much as he could from his pastor.  He was blessed with the special gift of unconditional love, which he spread to friends and strangers alike whenever he could.  He was comforted in knowing that his time on earth was temporary and that his journey would continue at his permanent home in Heaven.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Sat., Nov. 2, 2019, followed by a memorial service, at The Journey Church, 283 Broad St., Milroy, with Rev. Darrell Wireman officiating.
