Betty Beal, 85, of Schellsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Markleton, Pa., to the late Ambrose and Edna Hinzy.
Betty married her soul mate, Walter Beal Jr. on May 27, 1955, and in addition to her parents, he preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by her children, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Betty worked for many years as a cook at Shawnee Inn, the Grand View Ship Hotel, and Lakeview Lounge.
She loved spending all her time with her family. Betty was a member of the Point Church of the Brethren, where she enjoyed praising God, singing, and helping with children’s bible school.
There will be no viewing, but a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Point Church of the Brethren, 1822 Point Rd., Schellsburg, PA 15559.
