Betty Irene Eby, 93, of Reedsville, went to be with the Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Born on May 6, 1930, in Port Royal, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Shellenberger Sr. and Mildred I. (Kilmer) Shellenberger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Eby, who passed Feb. 10, 2016; a sister, Doris Jean Minsker; and a grandson, Ryan Marks.
She is survived by; daughters, Teresa Marks and husband, Keith, and Kimbra Olmstead, both of Lewistown; grandchildren, Christopher Marks and companion, Samantha Treaster, Danielle Olmstead and companion, David Campbell, Tyler Olmstead, Tiffany Olmstead and companion Darvin Peachey; great-grandchildren, Landon Marks, Drayven Marks and his sister, Brooke Grassmeyer, D.J. Simonton, Andrew Campbell, Abigail Campbell; and a brother, Arthur Shellenberger Jr., of Burnham.
Betty was a lifetime member of Yeagertown United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Yeagertown High School.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially loved the time spent with family during the holidays.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at William Penn for their compassionate care.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m, with Pastor Steven Small officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
