Blair R. ‘Did’ Rose, 72, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Born April 28, 1948, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Donald H. and Evelyn C. (Gloss) Rose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, infant siblings, Donnie, and Shirley Rose; a son, Ed Druckenmiller; and a sister, Beverly Jane Dean.
Blair is survived by his loving wife, Patricia ‘Patty’ A. (Searer) Rose; children, Donnie Rose and wife, of Lewistown, Blair R. Rose Jr., of Belleville, Kevin Rose, of Lewistown and a stepdaughter, Holly Bender and husband, Denny, of Lewistown; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Karen Hagens and husband, Ed, of Lewistown, Russell Rose and wife, Carol, of Lockport, and James Rose, of Lewistown.
Blair worked at Man Edge Tool Inc. for 30 years and Trinity Plastics where he retired after 8 years of service.
He enjoyed being outdoors going for rides in the mountains, hunting and fishing, and neighborhood walks. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr.
A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Travis Habbershon officiating.
Everyone attending is asked to follow CDC guidelines and wear a mask.
