Boyd L. Haines, 55, of Burnham, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born November 16, 1968, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Whorten E. Haines Sr. and Mary E. (Boob) Haines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda L. (Snyder) Haines; step-children, Shawn L. Knepp and wife, Ruby, of Burnham and Christina M. Phillips and husband, Alan, of McAlisterville; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Haines and companion, Samantha Kratzer, of Burnham. Kevin Haines and fiancée, Dawn Michaels, of Burnham, Susan Henry, of Lewistown, Mary Mimmum and husband, George Jr., of McAlisterville, Whorten E. Haines Jr., Liverpool, James Haines, of Lewistown, Carl Haines and wife, Judy, of Lewistown, Ronald Haines, of Lewistown, Gilbert Stover, of Petersburg, Margaret Peck and husband, Donald, of Mifflintown, Mona Haines, of Lewistown; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Boyd was a 1989 graduate of Indian Valley High School.

He was an old fashion Baptist by faith.

Boyd was always helping out his friends and enjoyed joking with his family and friends, and he liked to play cards. Family was always number one.

He collected scrap metal and junk salvage for many years.

A receiving of friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor George P. Clark officiating.
