Boyd E. 'Pete' Lynn

Boyd E. ‘Pete’ Lynn, 85, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at his home.

Born April 25, 1938, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Harry Ellsworth Lynn and Mary Katherine (Dippery) McCans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by; wife, Gertrude L. (Wray) Lynn, whom he married Nov. 7, 1964; siblings, Harry ‘Tom’ Lynn, Mary Bishop, Patricia Sheaffer, Donald Lynn, Naomi Miller, and David Lynn.

He is survived by; children, Justina Mae Fisher and husband, George, Keith Lynn and wife, Betty, Steven Lynn and wife, Amanda, Jason Lynn Sr. and wife, Marsha, all of Lewistown; grandchildren, Heather, Joy, and Nikki Druckemiller, Devon and Rebekah Lynn, Victoria Purvis, Jason Lynn Jr., Elizabeth Lynn, Lexi Dobson, Haley Lynn, Ashton Dobson, Landen Lynn; great-grandchildren, Shelby Weaver, Reagan Welty, Jaxon Lynn, Tatania Purvis; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Boyd was a member of the City Hook & Ladder #14 Fire Station and a former Junction fire house, Yeagertown fire house and Owl’s Club member.

He was a graduate of Lewistown High School.

Boyd entered the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

He worked at Fisher Electronics/Sanyo Audio where he retired.

Boyd was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed listening to music.

A receiving of friends will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.

Interment will take place at Belltown cemetery with military honors provided by Juniata County Veterans Council and VFW Post 7011.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warriors, American Cancer Society, or UPMC Family Hospice.
