Brenda Kay Lower

Brenda Kay Lower, 70, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 28, 1955, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William R. Griffith and Joyce R. Nicholas (Griffith).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela J. Griffith.

She survived by her husband, Donald ‘Donnie’ Lower; a daughter, Shannon Lea Lower, of Lewistown; two sisters, Linda D. Dickson, of Lewistown, and Billi Jo Siler and husband, Robert, of Va.; many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a 1973 graduate of Penn Highlands High School.

She worked at Scotty’s Fashions, the Lewistown Sentinel and Reds Diner.

Brenda loved her family and enjoyed family trips to the beach, and enjoyed taking care of her cats that she fostered. Those who knew Brenda will remember her warm spirit and kindness.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Mount Rock Cemetery with Rev. Bernard Carpenter officiating.
