Burton “Burt” L. Snook, 73, of McClure, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Jan. 12, 1948, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Burton R. and Ethel V. (Romig) Snook.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; wife, Priscilla (Platt) Snook; and a brother, Gerald E. “Sonny” Snook and wife, Ruth; and a sister-in-law, Carol Snook.
He is survived by; a stepdaughter, Sandy Newhouse and husband, Ernie, and extended family, of NY; a brother, Gary Lee Snook Sr. and wife, Linda, of Lewistown; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews; also, a lifelong friend, Jim Arnold.
Burt was a member of the Samuel’s Church.
He was a 1967 graduate of West Snyder High School and a graduate of Williamsport Community College.
Burt retired from GE as the maintenance manager.
He enjoyed working and maintaining his farm and lending a helping hand to others.
A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021, at Samuel’s Cemetery with a graveside service to follow at 11 a.m., with Rev. Clark Kelsey officiating.
