Carl Hartsock, Sr. Obituary

Carl L. Hartsock, Sr., 85, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.

Born on January 21, 1936, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Isabelle Hartsock.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Barbara J. (Kennedy) Hartsock; an infant son, Marcus Scott.

He is survived by: companion, Patricia Hardy, of Mifflintown; children, Carl L. Hartsock, Jr. and wife, Stacy, of Reedsville; April Patton and husband, Michael, of Lewistown, Steven Hartsock, of McVeytown; and stepchildren, Tracy Hanson and husband, Matt, of Georgia and Kristie Musselman, of Lewistown; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was a 1954 graduate of Lewistown High School.

Carl was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from 1958 to 1960.

He joined Standard Steel in 1956 in the production engineering section as a draftsman, in 1974 he became supervisor of drafting. After taking early retirement in 1991, he continued to be employed part-time until he officially retired in December of 2017, after 30 years of service.

No services will be held.

Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn.
