Carl A. Knapp, aged 92 of Lewistown PA, died October 31, 2020
He was born July 19, 1927, a son of the late George Wm Knapp Sr. And Julia F. (Lewis) Knapp in Salisbury Md. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, the Korean War, and in the Vietnam War. He was enlisted for 16 years and appointed to the position of officer in June 1960. He retired in July 1970.
He worked at Prudential Insurance, Lewistown, PA until his retirement in 1984.
He was married to Dorothy E. (Wilson) who preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters: Carla Knapp, Angela Knapp, and Tanis K. Lee, and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also, surviving are two sisters, Doris Hoffman and Carol Wilkins.
Carl loved bowling, golfing, and most of all cooking. He was a life member of VFW Post #5935 Belleville, PA. And a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
A small service will be held at the Mill Creek Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Wednesday, Nov 4, 2020, at 1 pm.
