Carl Allan “Woody” Woodward Sr., 63, of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 20, 2023, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 29, 1960, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Carl L. Woodward and Sharon A. (Joseph) Woodward, of Lewistown, who survives.
In addition to his mother, Carl is survived by: children, Sharanda Worthy, Carl Allan Woodward Jr., and Carly (Woodward) Witmer; six grandchildren; and his brother, Doug Woodward, of McVeytown.
He was a Rothrock High School graduate.
He installed fiberoptic cables before becoming disabled.
Carl was a great lover of the outdoors, with a special fondness for visiting Potter County. He loved fishing along the Juniata River and spending time at The Bierhaus with his many special friends. He had a great love for animals.
Pastor Randy Traxler was with Carl shortly before his passing. After Randy had anointed and prayed with him, Carl said he was going to see his dad, his best friend, Sarge, and his beloved dog, Gert.
A celebration of his life will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at The Bierhaus, 10141 US Highway 522 South, Lewistown.
