Catherine L. Bedlyon

Catherine L. Bedlyon, 92, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 27, 1928, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie (Zerby) Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden L. Bedlyon; and two brothers, James Jones, and William Jones.

She is survived by her children, Robert Bedlyon and wife, Denise, of Lewistown, Richard Bedlyon, of Beaver Springs, and Loretta Cherry and husband, Michael, of Lewistown; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, George Jones and wife, Grace, of St. College, Pauline Weaver, of Huntingdon, Vivian David, of Michigan, Marion Keller and husband, David, of Petersburg, and Betty Jane Garner, of Camp Hill.

Catherine was a member of Ellen Chapel Church.

Early in life, she worked at American Viscose Corporation and Cluett Peabody, and Ohesson Manor where she later retired.

Catherine enjoyed the people and her time going to Geisinger Life, playing cards and embroidery. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First St., Burnham.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Burnham, with Pastor Mark Hill officiating.

Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, anyone attending is asked to follow current CDC guidelines. Facial masks and social distancing will be required.
