Charles F. Heimer

Charles Franklin Heimer, 83, of Reedsville, passed away at 1:26 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at his home.

Born May 23, 1939, in Easton, Northampton County, he was the son of the late Theodore F. and Emma S. (Bruck) Heimer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Raymond Peters.

Charles is survived by:  wife, Alice B. (Peters) Heimer; daughter, Judy Moist and husband, Michael, of Mexico, Juniata County; granddaughter, Stephanie Peck and husband, Kevin, of Md., great-grandson, Shipley Peck; and in-laws, Grace Kressler, of Nazareth, Marie Heimer, of Bath, Lester Peters, of Whitehall, Mitchell Peters and wife, Darlene, of Nazareth, and Randy Peters, of Wind Gap.

He was a self-employed truck driver throughout his life.  He later worked at the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Photo Identification Center in Burnham. 

Charles enjoyed woodworking and was an avid NASCAR and New York Yankees baseball fan.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
