Chester 'Chet' P.L. Reeder

Chester P.L. ‘Chet’ Reeder, 54, of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born October 20, 1969, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Daniel Reeder Sr. and Glenda (Morrison) Reeder, who survives.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Reeder; an uncle, John Reeder; and a brother-in-law, Jamie Long.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Dunmire) Reeder, whom he married Oct. 5, 2013; children, Tasha Zook and husband, Norman, of Port Royal, Ray Wise, and Chelsea Bratton, both of Lewistown; granddaughter, Alaina Zook; siblings, Christine Wolfkill and husband, Brian, of Burnham, David Reeder, of Mifflintown, Daniel Reeder Jr. and wife, Danielle, Denise Long, and Lisa Shirey, all of Lewistown.

He was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1988.

Chet worked at Empire Kosher and most recently he worked at Trinity Plastics as a fork lift driver.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davison motorcycle and he kept himself busy woodworking in the garage making items out of barn wood.

A receiving of friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with a celebration of life at 8 p.m., with Pastor John LaCamera officiating.
