Christian Z. Speicher, 79, of Milroy, passed into the arms of Jesus at 12:39 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1945, in Reedsville to the late Noah Y. and Madelene (Zook) Speicher.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, and a great-granddaughter.

Christian is survived by: loving wife, Elizabeth M. (Hostetler) Speicher; son, Noah Speicher and wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Miriam Yoder and husband, Joseph S., both of Milroy; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Annie Z. Hostetler, of Milroy, Barbara Z. Yoder and husband, John D., and Lena M. Hostetler and husband, John S., both of Reedsville, Michael H. Speicher and wife, Mary, of Aaronsburg, Henry D. Speicher and wife, Elizabeth, of N.Y., and Elizabeth N. Hostetler and husband, Noah Y., of Aaronsburg.

He was an employee and business owner with over 50 years of experience in the timber and lumber industry.  He enjoyed hunting and family gatherings.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at his home, with interment at Back Mountain Road Cemetery, Milroy.
