Christopher G. Simonetti, 65, of Reedsville, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at his home.
Born May 18, 1959, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Frank and Freda E. (McKinney) Simonetti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla M. Simonetti.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela K. (Miller) Simonetti, whom he married on September 17, 1983; son, Tobin S. Simonetti and wife, Cassandra, of Bellefonte; grandchildren, Escy, Aliyah, and Dahrah Simonetti; siblings, R. Keith. Simonetti and wife, Carol Sue, of Elverson, Carol Desiderati, of Dillsburg, Ronald Simonetti and wife, Barb, of Reedsville.
Chris was a member of Evangel Baptist Church.
He was a 1977 graduate of Kishaquillas High School. He earned his associates degree from Williamsport Area Community College.
In his earlier years, he worked at Fisher Electronics, Masland/Lear Corporation, Hameau Farms, and lastly at PBS in Middleburg, where he retired in May 2021.
During high school, he participated in the First Big Valley Invitational for Cross Country. He was an Eagle Scout and later became scoutmaster for Milroy Troop 106. He liked to serve the church through building project, volunteering to cook for the Awana Club, and build games for Vacation Bible School.
Chris enjoyed being with his family and being outdoors going fishing and hunting. He was a great handyman, and loved woodworking and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. 5th St., Lewistown, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Justin Whitenight and Pastor Ed Kauffman.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s memory to Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. 5th St., Lewistown, to the Children & Youth Fund.
