Clarence Earl "Buzz" Dupert Sr., 78, of Lewistown, died at 4:28 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Born Aug. 15, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Edward and Helen (Packard) Dupert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Sharon (Riley) Dupert, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2015; a son, Clarence E. Dupert Jr., in 2016; brother, Gary Dupert, in 1988; and a grandchild.
Clarence is survived by: children, Tammy Setzler and husband, Dean, of Lewistown, Steven Dupert and wife, Betsy, of Burnham, and Stacey Heron, of Milroy; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, whom he dearly loved and cared for; and a brother, Edward "Son" Dupert Jr. and wife, Jean, of Lewistown.
He graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1962, and also attended vocational-technical school during his high school years.
He was a member of New Life Church, Burnham.
Clarence retired from Standard Steel Corporation, Machine Shop I, on April 1, 2007, with 43 years of service.
He enjoyed traveling with the Super Seniors on outings and going to breakfast every month. He loved hunting, auctions, yard sales and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will all dearly miss their pap. Buzz was known for his cooking skills and his specialty was his barbecued chicken.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Avenue, Burnham, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Rev. John Walters officiating.
Private interment will take place at a later date at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
