Connie Florence Reed, 75, of Milroy, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home.

Born September 21, 1948, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Floyd S. (Tex) White Jr. and Ruth Jane (Snavely) White.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. ‘Jack’ Reed; daughter, Tina Christine (Reed) Rhodes; sister, Debora K. (White) Wilson; brother, Larry J. White; and a brother-in-law, Brooks C. Boozel.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo Knepp, of Granville; three grandchildren, Alycia Knepp, Jonathan Knepp, Tameron Reed; siblings, Betty L. Boozel, of Milroy, Judy A. Brittain and husband, Gerald ‘Boots’, of Milroy, many loving nieces, and nephew; sisters-in-law, Caroline White, of McVeytown, and Connie Ann Burcin, of Milroy.

In her earlier years Connie worked at The American Viscose Company, Sanyo/Fisher Electronics, Corvette America and JPM.

Connie enjoyed gardening and sewing, and going fishing.

Special thanks to her niece, Angelic ‘Angie’ Campbell for helping take care of Connie, nephew, Eric Kinslow for helping Connie in times of need, to her sister-in-law, Connie Ann Burcin, who she loved, cared for and was there to offer moral support for one another, and along with her sister Betty L. Boozel’s caring, support, and love. They called the group, The Golden Girls.

Special thanks to Hospice 365 and Mount Nittany Hospital and cancer center for providing the care and help with medical bills.

Per her wishes, no services to be held. She would like her family and friends to remember her the way she was, and remember the good times.

In memory of Connie, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society,  Food Pantry in Lewistown, or to Hospice 365.
