Darla Jean Charlesworth, 66, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:41 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 10, 1955, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George I. Sr. and Ruth A. (Barger) Camp.
Darla is survived by: husband, Robert L. Charlesworth; children, Matt Berginc and wife, Jewel, of Portland, Ore., Ryan Berginc and wife, Monica, of Marysville, Wash., Kristopher Charlesworth and Lia Parson, both of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Amanda, Megan and Ashley Berginc, and Makeara and Kyndal Parson; and siblings, Brenda Hook, of Halifax, Sharon Koontz and husband, Richard, of Lewistown, Ruth Parson and husband, Danny, of Reedsville, George Camp Jr. and wife, Mary, of Lewistown, and Jane Alcala and husband, Quirino (Steven), of Patterson, N.Y.
She attended New Life Church and often volunteered in the kitchen.
In her earlier years, she was employed at Guardian/Faulkner Glass and later, as a CNA at Ohesson Manor.
Darla was a 20-year cancer survivor.
She loved her grandchildren and was an excellent artist and painter. Darla enjoyed camping and reading, and was a movie buff, especially of Star Trek and the sequels.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, at the Funeral Home, with Reverend John Walters officiating.
Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Lewistown.
