Darlene Kay Romig Obituary

Darlene Kay Romig, 63, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.


Born March 31, 1962, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. Confer and Betty J. (Goss) Moyer.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers.


Darlene is survived by her children, Jennifer Rhodes & husband, Travis, of McClure, Kira Marshall and companion Billy Swartz of Burnham, Michael Romig and wife, LeeAnn, of Beavertown; grandchildren, Sherry, Hope, Autumn, Casey, Chewy, Rain, and Moon; great-grandchildren, Coraline and Darcie; siblings, Leah Breon of Milroy, Marlene Mesmer of McVeytown and Thelma Pennebaker of Lewistown.


She was a 1980 graduate of Lewistown High School.


After dedicating many years working in different roles at ACPI, Darlene eventually retired from the company.


Darlene found joy in a variety of hobbies and activities. She enjoyed crafting and sewing. In addition to her artistic interests, Darlene cherished the moments she spent going to camp and visiting the river. She found immense joy in being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.


Arrangements are under the care of Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 200 N Main Street, Lewistown.
