David Miller Gutshall

On May 20, 2023, David Miller Gutshall, 74, of Lewistown, went home to the arms of Jesus and to share a joyful reunion with his loved ones.

He was the son of Ralph and Erma (Martin) Gutshall, who preceded him in death, along with his brother, Gregory Gutshall.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Gutshall, of Texas, and Richie Gutshall, of York, and many cousins.

He graduated from West York High School in 1966 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, receiving an honorable discharge.

David owned his own taxi.  He served the Baltimore area for many years and enjoyed eating the local seafood.  He also liked working crossword puzzles and playing pool.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Bob Marsh officiating.

Interment with military honors will take place at a later date at Mount Rose Cemetery in York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to Calvary Bible Church, 100 Calvary Lane, Lewistown, PA 17044.
