David E. Specht Jr., 64, of Lewistown, passed away at 9:12 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at his home.
Born Dec. 16, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late David E. Specht Sr. and Phyllis (Knepper) Specht Lilley, of Lewistown, who survives.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Doris (Yeater) Van Huss Specht, and nephew, Shawn Lee Specht.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by: wife, Ruth (Zimmerman) Specht; stepchildren, Paul Schutz, of Wisconsin, and Tammy Schutz, of Harrisburg; step-grandchildren, Nicholes Keiser and Abby Varner, both of Harrisburg; and his brother, William V. Specht, of North Port, Fla.
He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville, and attended the Lewistown Church of Christ.
David was a member of the Lewistown Order of Moose and enjoyed playing pool in several local leagues. He was a devoted NASCAR racing fan and attended the Daytona 500 for the past 19 years. He also enjoyed fishing.
He was previously employed at Centre Hall Cannery, Hanover Foods.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Mount Rock Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Lewistown, with Rev. Charles Brown officiating.
