David L. Wilkins Jr., 66, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was born on August 27, 1953, and a son of the late David L. Wilkins Sr. and Florence (Zannino) Wilkins.
He is survived by: wife, Jean Wilkins, of Lewistown; children, Sonnie Wilkins and fiancé, Justin Wagner, of Lewistown, Shannon Bigelow and husband, Jerry, of Lewistown, Shawna Wilkins, of Milroy, and Shawn Wilkins, of Milroy; five grandchildren, Chloe McMillin, Lynden Parchey, Haily Anewalt, Rowan Parchey, and Milo David Wilkins; sisters, Cathy Washington, and husband Terry, of Harrisburg, Terri Specht and husband, Scott, of Burnham; also survived by a former daughter-in-law, Emilene Wilkins
David served in the United States Air Force, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard.
He was employed at Overhead Door where he worked for 24 years. He recently retired from Standard Steel, where he worked in machine shop 1.
He was passionate about spending time with his family, playing guitar, listening to music, watching sci-fi and enjoying time with friends he has made throughout the years.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020, at the Birch Hill Event Center, 1100 North Pine Street, Burnham, PA 17009.
