David W. Wycoff, 96, of Burnham, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Valley View Haven.
Born January 23, 1925, in Aliquippa, PA, he was the son of the late William J. and Ruth S. Wycoff.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; wife, Ruth E. Wycoff; a son, Scott W. Wycoff, who passed in 1990.
He is survived by; daughter, Rebecca W. Treaster and husband, Todd, of Burnham; granddaughter, Jessica T. Smith and husband, Andrew, and Jennifer Rohley; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Smith; nephews, Randy Richards and wife, Joanne, of NC, William Richards, of VA and Drew Porter, of VA; nieces, Kathy Richards-Braun and husband, Dennis, of Hollidaysburg, and Nancy Porter, of Florida.
David graduated from Beaver High School, Class of 1942. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS Engineering Degree in 1949.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946. He was in the 42 Infantry Division 232nd Regiment, WWII France, Germany, and Austria. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He worked with US Steel – Irvin Works and General Office, the Weirton Steel Company and Standard Steel. He was a registered professional engineer. After retirement from Standard Steel, he worked with Penn Fuel Gas Co.
David enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, fishing in Coffee Run, and photography with the State College Photo Club and the Common Ground magazine.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a memorial service to follow at 8 p.m., with Pastor Dennis Braun officiating.

Interment will be private and take place in Beaver Cemetery, with military honors.
