David D. Yetter, 92, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 20, 1927, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Clarence and Elba (Mattern) Yetter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Eleanor (Shafer) Yetter, who passed in 2007; brothers, Gary, William, Ezra and Paul Yetter.
He is survived by: daughters, Pamela K. Beaver and husband, Paul, of Lewistown, and Vickie M. Joachim and husband, William, of Camp Hill; granddaughter, Nicole M. Beaver; step-grandson, Alex Joachim and wife, Lori; and three step-grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie L. Adams and husband, Richard, of Lewistown, and Gordon Yetter, and wife, Nancy, of Williamsport.
He was Methodist by faith.
David was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1946, and a graduate of DeVry Technical Institute, in May of 1954.
He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952.
He had worked as a manager of the Alvo Electronics Store and the Cumberland Electronics Store.
David enjoyed spending time with his family and his favorite hobby was woodworking.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
