Deborah Maria Felmlee

Deborah Maria Felmlee, 71, of Lewistown, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023, at her home.

Born Jan. 26, 1952, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert Smith and Dolores (Cunningham) Coudriet.

Deborah is survived by:  husband, Daniel J. Felmlee; children, Daniel J. Felmlee II and wife, Francena, of Lewistown, Jennifer M. Clark and husband, James Donald Lee Clark, of St. Marys, Ga., and John D. Felmlee and wife, Brooke, of Granville; six grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter and Aubrey Felmlee, Naomi Clark, and Finn and Huck Felmlee; four step-grandchildren, Mason, Jalinn, Josie and Emitt Bulick; three great-grandchildren, Cody James Felmlee, and Georgia and Walker Felmlee; sister, Holly Reeder and husband, James, of Newville; and brother, Steve Coudriet, of Lewistown.

She was a Lewistown High School graduate, then went on to earn an associate degree in cosmetology and hairdressing/barbering.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown.

Deborah was employed as a licensed cosmetologist and barber.  She cut Joe Paterno’s and Governor Edward Rendell's hair and cut hair at the G8 Summit.  Later, she was a security guard at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

Family always came first to Deborah, and she would help anyone in need.  In her earlier years, she assisted with Brownies and Girl Scout troops, was a candy striper at Black’s Hospital, and did fundraising activities for the March of Dimes and Vietnam Veterans of America.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 North Dorcas Street, Lewistown, with Father William Weary officiating.  A meal will be served for the family and all that wish to attend at the Decatur Cookhouse in Alfarata at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Interment will take place at Vira Methodist Cemetery at a later date.
