Delores I. Baxter

Delores I. ‘Dory’ Baxter, 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 28, 1939, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late George I. and Mary (Adams) Settle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Baxter; a son, Brian L. Baxter; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by; children, Daniel L. Baxter and wife, Ruth, and Tammy L. Baxter and companion, Peter Sleboda, both of Lewistown; two grandchildren, Michael and wife, Brandi, Amanda and husband, Jason; two great-grandchildren, Heidi, and Joe; siblings, Margaret Silks, of Yeagertown, Sonny Settle and wife, Connie, of Granville; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Delores was a member of New Life Church.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, doing crossword and word search puzzles. She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and she was an Elvis fan.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
