Dolores Coringrato Obituary

Dolores E. Coringrato, 95, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Celebration Villa of Reedsville.

Born October 7, 1926, in El Campo, Wharton County, Texas, she was daughter of the late W. Alvis Rhames and Thelma Ann (Madden) DeVita.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Coringrato; son, Rudy D. Coringrato; two grandsons, Steven Goldsborough, and Dustin Riley; brother, Bruce Rhames; sister, Joyce Rhames, and son-in-law, Charles Hare.

She is survived by her children, Sandra J. Hare, of Baltimore, Maryland, Deborah Suess and husband, Denny Ometz, of Ellicott City, Maryland, Kathy Waite and husband, Paul R. Waite, of Lewistown, PA and Kristi Lake, Joe Machcinski, Jr., of Dayton, Texas; grandchildren, Sheri Billings, S. Scott Goldsborough, Stacey Goldsborough, Cathy Strother, Charlie Hare, Jr., Chris Hare, Aleta Eaton, Jennifer Suess, Brandon Suess, Britney Ometz, Toni Speacht, Dan Kiralfy, Stephanie Garland, Zachary Kiralfy, Katana Waite, and Sarah Lake; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dale Rhames, of Austin, Texas, Roseanne Mergler, of Middle River, Maryland, and Michael J. DeVita and partner, Christophre Powlaski, of Baltimore, Maryland.

She retired from Nabisco, where she worked as a parts manager in the maintenance office for over twenty years.

After raising her children in Maryland, she returned to her home state of Texas with her youngest daughter. She spent the next portion of her years living life to the fullest, dancing, shopping, skiing, sailing, motorcycling, vacationing in Mexico, and even went for a ride in the Goodyear blimp. In her later years, she lived with her daughter and family in Pennsylvania, where she loved the beauty of the mountains and countryside, as well as a life surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, and wildlife.

A memorial service, to be held in Maryland, will be announced at a later time.
