Donna Louise Kennedy

Donna Louise Kennedy, 90, of Lewistown, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born October 4, 1934, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Ethel A. (Pierce) Satzler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney M. Kennedy Sr.; siblings, William G. Satzler II, Nancy Vogt, Laura Cunningham; sister-in-law, Claudette Dubendorf Satzler; and a brother-in-law, Carl Vogt.

She is survived by children, Beth A. Kennedy, of Lewistown, Walter T. Kennedy, of Lewistown, Rodney M. Kennedy Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Lewistown, Suzanne J. Hackenberry and husband, Steve, of Mifflintown, Cathleen L. Miller and husband, Robert, of Mifflintown; grandchildren, Samantha Sath and husband, Sol Allen, Seth Walters, Aaron Miller, Kelsie Kennedy and companion, Nate Banner, Cody Hackenberry and wife, Nichole; great-grandchildren Sorin, Calah, Ezlie, and Brooklyn.

She was a member of Granville United Methodist Church, a life member of Granville firehouse Lady’s Auxiliary and U.M.C. woman’s club.

Donna was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1953.

She enjoyed baking and cooking at the firehouse and woman’s club. She loved to read, sew, and needle point and crafting. She also enjoyed her bus trips and spending time with family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

A second viewing will be held from 10 -11 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2025, at Granville U.M.C., 1346 N. River Rd., Granville, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating.

Interment will take place at Mount Rock Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donna’s memory to Granville UMC Memorial Fund,  PO Box 142, Granville, PA 17029.
