Doris M. Gearhart

Doris M. Gearhart, 95, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:51 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Ohesson Manor.

Born Sept. 9, 1925, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Esther (Wagner) Gearhart.  She was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving is her good friend, Edna Chester, of Belleville.

Doris graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1943.   

She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Happy Workers Sunday School Class.   

Doris was employed for five years at the Mann Edge Tool Company.  She later retired from Bell Telephone as an operator and staff clerk on Nov. 1, 1984, with 36 years of service.

A viewing will be held from 2:30 to 3 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan Street, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating.

Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Green Ave., Lewistown.
